Moretonhampstead Festival of Food, Beer and Arts is a celebration of food and produce from the area.
The festival will be taking place throughout the centre of this pretty Dartmoor town and will feature:
•Involvement of ‘Celebrity Chefs’ Michael Caines – from the Michelin 2 star Gidleigh Park and Jane Baxter – Riverford, author of many books and regular columnist in national newspapers.
•A ‘Ready Steady Cook’ type event involving Chefs from our local restaurants
•Cooking demonstrations , including Childrens event, in the ‘Riverford Kitchen’
•Music throughout the day and in to the evening
•There will be demonstrations and exhibits from Artists of the South West, in St Andrews Church. Around the town there will be a ‘Secret Studios’ trail, this is the opportunity for the public to see your work, open to all professional and amateur budding artists. The venues will be plotted on a map, handed out to the visitors, with distinctive signposting outside each venue. If you would like to be part of this please contact Davina on 441310 as soon as you read this to express your interest – we need to have response BEFORE Christmas as there is a lot to organize and deadlines to meet in January.
•Up to 100 stalls selling local produce from as close as the next street to as far away as Cornwall
