Oldway Mansion is located in Paignton amongst 17 acres of picturesque landscaped gardens and is the perfect setting for a wedding.
Oldway was built in the 1870’s by Isaac Merrit Singer the founder of the Singer Sewing Machine Company.
With the combination of the pleasant Riviera climate and French ambience it creates  a romantic setting reminiscent of the Palace of Versailles.  Oldway is therefore becoming one of England's most popular civil ceremony venues.  It has a wide choice of rooms to suit a variety of tastes, sizes and budgets.
All the wedding rooms are reached by the fabulous grand staircase made from marble and balusters of bronze.  Above the staircase there is a large painting entitled The Crowning of Josephine by Napoleon by Jacques-Louis David.
