This annual town event is in its third year and getting bigger and better with the support from the Newton Abbot Music Hub. In addition to rocking around the Clock Tower, this year’s festival will also feature performances during the week at various venues around the town centre.
For three fun-packed days, the Clock Tower stage will be alive with dance, live music and performance Chartwell Dutiro's mbira playing will take us direct to the heart of Zimbabwe, his homeland and also the country of origin of the mbira. Saturday night the air will be filled with the cool acoustic urban soul sound of N.U.M.B.
On Sunday a welcome return to the concert band Spectrum, Newton Abbot Orchestra and the wonderful Soprano voice of Donna Marie. Plus vocal sounds from the all women group, the Chordettes and Children’s choirs from the local primary Schools.Add to the mix, Al-Fresco dining, face-painting, an Ale Trail and a touch of rock ‘n’ roll and it will be a weekend to remember.
This free event is brought to the community by a partnership of The Newton Abbot Community Interest Company, Newton Abbot Town Council, the Town Centre Partnership, and Newton Abbot Music Hub.
Generously funded by the Town Council, Cllrs David Corney Walker and Gordon Hook
