The aim of The Newton Abbot Beekeepers Association is to promote this fascinating craft and to encourage best practice.

Newton Abbot Beekeepers Association (NABKA) is a branch of the Devon Beekeepers Association (DBKA), which in turn is affiliated to the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA).

Founded in 1875, The DBKA (and NABKA) are non-profiting organisations and are run on a voluntary basis for the benefit of bees and beekeepers. They actively encourage membership to to help provide the resources needed to promote beekeeping and to support beginners and ‘old hands’ alike.

Newton Abbot branch has over 60 members in such places as: Abbotskerswell, Ashburton, Bishopsteignton, Bovey Tracey, Chagford, Chudleigh Knighton, Dawlish, Ipplepen, Kinsteignton, Manaton, Moretonhampstead and Widecombe-in-the-Moor.

Regular meetings and lectures take place at the Teignbridge District Scout Headquarters in Wolborough Street, Newton Abbot.
