Reporting to the Central Technical Manager, this exciting new role will be primarily retailer customer focused. You will ensure that the reputation for providing accurate and timely technical support to customers is maintained and improved as timeline and response times get more demanding.
You will support the busy Specification Technologist Team ensuring that the specifications are accurate and meet the agreed customer deadlines.
You will liaise with our retail customer technologists in response to their quality or technical requirements. This may involve attendance at their head office at short notice or supplying urgent technical information to a demanding deadline.
You will support the site technical teams in their relationships with the retail customers ensuring efficient communication of KPI reports, visit or audit follow up reports and more urgent technical investigations.
Hold a qualification in food science or food technology
Have experience of a Quality, Technical or Production discipline
Experience in the use of Retailer specification systems ie: Inspire, Find and Micros
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Be able to work on own initiative, work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Be able to deputise for Central Technical Manager in a confidant and assertive manner.
