For women of all backgrounds and ages………would you like to be part of a caring, sharing, friendly supportive group of women??
Teignbridge Women’s Networks are open to women of all ages who feel they could benefit from support in meeting other people. Maybe you have been ill, bereaved, separated, emotionally distressed, been a carer or simply moved house. All kinds of life experiences and events can leave us feeling low in confidence or isolated
What do the Networks offer?
The Women’s network offers the support of two facilitators, Caroline Riggs and Jo Dickson, who aim to hear and support wha the women of the Networks want to do to enrich and enhance their lives. Our aim is to empower women – providing opportunities to create new friendships and mutual support, facilitating events and activities that are chosen by and for the women taking part.
We do not run a crisis resolution service, nor do we run a telephone helpline service. We are, however, experienced in emotional / health issues, providing positive support and signposting.
What activities can I take part in if I join the Networks?
The activities of the Networks are guided by the preferences and choices of women taking part in the Networks. Some women may prefer social events or sharing groups, where others may have an interest in the arts, cinema or music, and others may enjoy walks or other physical activities. Whatever your interests, wants or needs, we would love to hear from you. We care, are interested in you and will endeavour to make it happen, by helping organise events through the initial stages, supporting women’s friendships.
We will be holding regular gatherings and meetings with the aim of connecting women across rural Teignbridge and the Torbay area.
